Cardamom Sour Cream Waffles Recipe


3/4 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup whole wheat flour

1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon ground cardamom

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 cup fat-free milk

3/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to make it

In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, sour cream, brown sugar, butter and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients just until combined.

Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions until golden brown.
Yield: 7 servings.
